CANNABIS plants worth £7845 were found in a car on Tuesday.

Roads police officers from Lockerbie stopped a black Volkswagen Passat which was travelling north on the A74(M).

A search of the vehicle was subsequently carried out and the plants were recovered.

A 25-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

Anyone with any information or concerns about drugs in their community can call Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
