Dairy stops doorstep deliveries

A DAIRY farm firm has announced an end to their milk delivery service.

Roan’s Dairy was launched in September 2015 to deliver milk to doorsteps across Dumfries and Galloway.

But last week the family announced it would be stopping.

In a statement, they said: “It is with regret that we have decided to close the milk delivery business due to cost pressures and other commitments.

“Roan’s Dairy has survived a global pandemic, saved a couple of lives, weathered a few storms and could write a book on the stories and antics we have had, but like they say “All good things come to an end.”

Letters have been sent to customers and the Roans added: “We can’t thank our customers enough for their support over the years. It has been a pleasure and joy delivering our “Udderly Moolicious” milk and we are grateful for your loyalty and support over the years.

“We also want to thank you for the kindness everyone has shown the team in this difficult and transitional time.”
