COSTA Coffee has shown support to young people in Dumfries with a £2000 donation to the Oasis Youth Centre Management Committee The money comes from the firm’s community grants scheme for grassroots organisations which area making a difference to young people’s futures in Scotland. Oasis was nominated by the manager of the new Costa drive thru, Christopher Greenshields, who said: “The Oasis Youth Centre is a vital part of our community, especially for young people. By nominating them, we hope to help the charity continue its important work, creating a safe, welcoming space where young people can gain opportunities they might not otherwise have.” Andy Brown, chairperson at Oasis said: “It is great to be nominated for the Costa Coffee grant, we are truly grateful for the consideration. “The board recently consulted with young people about what they want to see at the Oasis Youth Centre, so we look forward at our next board meeting to look through this and best assign where this money will contribute most to the young people.”
