Conditional offer for lorry driver after roundabout smash

NO one was injured after a lorry crashed into a garden wall near the school roundabout in Lockerbie last Friday morning.
The incident on Glasgow Road happened shortly after 7.30 am in the morning.
A HGV smashed through railings and a sandstone garden wall just after making it through the roundabout. A recovery operation was underway for a few hours after the incident, while a couple of police officers directed traffic around the lorry.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 7.40 am on Friday, September 12 we received a report of a crash involving a lorry at Glasgow Road, Lockerbie. The driver was given a conditional offer.”
