Community fund opens for bids

A NEW community fund has opened to charities and good causes in the Dumfries area.

The NWH Group has launched its final round of community funding for 2025 with a £21,000 fund.

They want to hear from private, community-led charities in the area, that align with the company’s core pillars of support.

These are recycling education in young people; mental wellbeing; carbon reduction; and talent growth through scholarships, apprenticeships, and skill development programmes.

Lee Campbell, from NWH in Dumfries, said: “It’s a privilege to give back to our local communities and meet the people who manage and offer such wonderful support and services.

“We are now ready to accept the final round of applications for this year, and we strongly encourage all Dumfries-based community-led charities that align with our core pillars of support to apply.”
