Christmas house goes live

THE popular Queensberry Brae Christmas lights display in Thornhill were switched on last night. Every December scores of people flock to the street to see the Ross family’s festive efforts and help raise money for good causes in the process. And this year’s chosen charities are the NHS D&G charity and the Queensberry Learning Centre at Georgetown Primary School. Donations can be made via a justgiving page or at the postbox at the house. The lights will stay up until the new year and there will also be a snow machine in operation this Saturday night
