Charity grants now available

The NHS Dumfries and Galloway Charity is launching its annual grant programme with applications invited from local third sector and community organisations that provide a service or support to the local health board.

Grant applications are invited up to and including £5000. The charity is particularly interested in projects that support areas such as:

• Unpaid carer / befriending services.
• Mitigation of social isolation.
• Support to help individuals leave hospitals into community care.
• Development of platforms to support community signposting to appropriate third sector support services.
• Start-up grants that address of health inequalities across the region.
• Physical activity programmes for improving physical and mental health wellbeing.

The grants can only be used to support the Dumfries and Galloway community and cannot be used to provide services out of the region. Grants will be prioritised that are linked to developing new or enhancing existing services.
