Care service up for award for cafe project

A CARE service in Lockerbie has been shortlisted for another award.

Trinity House and Lodge is a finalist in the community outreach category of the Housing with Care Awards, in recognition of its work through Hartnell’s Café.

The cafe is a social enterprise where people can gain real-world work experience, develop new skills and build confidence.

Lorraine Platt, Trinity manager, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for this award. Hartnell’s Café is at the heart of everything we do, it’s a place where people can grow in confidence, develop skills and feel part of their community.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work, creativity and dedication of both our staff and the people we support.”

Winners will be announced on June 5.
