Car hit BT pole

POLICE are appealing for information after a car collided with a BT pole at Parkgate causing damage. The silver Volkswagen Tiguan was travelling on the A701, Dumfries to Edinburgh road overnight between 10 pm last Thursday, 4 December and 2 am on Friday, 5 December, when it collided with a field boundary fence and a BT pole causing damage. The driver, who was the only occupant, was not injured. Constable Lawrence Nelson is appealing to motorists on the road that night to come forward. He said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was on the A701 between 10pm on Thursday night and 2am on Friday morning and saw either the collision or the vehicle being driven on the road between those times. “If you have any dash cam footage, or any information that will assist our investigation, then please contact police via 101 quoting incident 0642 of Friday, 5 December 2025.”
