DUMFRIES and Galloway Council leader Stephen Thompson welcomed the India in UK team, from the Consulate General of India at Edinburgh, to Dumfries. And he said they held a ‘very positive meeting’ on the export opportunities for local food and drink businesses, and for Scotland as a whole. The Consul also described it as ‘fruitful’, saying: “The discussions focused on strengthening India’s partnership with Dumfries and Galloway region, including collaboration in areas of trade, culture, education, and community engagement.”
