TWO events will take place next month to gather the views of residents, businesses and visitors about the future of Kirkcudbright Bridge.

Dumfries and Galloway Council is planning community conversations in the town, where they will share early ideas for a replacement bridge and hear what matters most to people 'before any decisions are made'.

They will take place on the merse side of the bridge on June 4; then in Kirkcudbright Harbour Square on June 9. Both sessions will run 4-7 pm and be drop in.

There will be a chance to speak directly with the project team, learn more about the work carried out so far, and complete a short feedback survey.

A council spokesperson said: "Your feedback will help shape the next stage of design and decision-making, ensuring future plans reflect the needs of the local community."
