Board looks for new members

A PLEA has been made to more residents to consider joining the Dumfries Town Board to help shape the future of the town.

The board is looking for new members to join their team of volunteers who are passionate about making a difference locally.

A spokesperson said: “We’re particularly keen to strengthen our board with people who bring business insight and local economic experience — for example, local business owners, company directors, or people with experience in enterprise or community-led regeneration.

“However, we welcome applications from anyone who cares about Dumfries and can bring valuable skills, perspectives, or community connections.”
