Best place to work celebrations
ACCOUNTANCY firm Armstrong Watson has been named in the official ‘The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025.’ This nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates the UK’s top 500 employers, including the Carlisle company which covers Cumbria, Dumfries and Galloway and Scotland. Managing partner and chief executive Paul Dickson said: “We’re extremely proud to feature in the Sunday Times’ list of the Best Places to Work in the UK. “Our crazy goal is for Armstrong Watson to be known as the best accounting and financial advisory firm to deal with, delivering the best client experience in the United Kingdom. We know we can only achieve this if Armstrong Watson is a great place to work, where our people are happy, supported, and engaged. “Receiving this recognition is hugely important to us as we aim to foster a working environment where staff feel valued, empowered and are given opportunities to progress in their careers. Being one of the best places to work in the UK will also be an added pull for those looking to join us in the future.” To achieve a high overall engagement score in the survey, an organisation must score well across a six-step framework in areas of reward and recognition, instilling pride, information sharing, empowerment, wellbeing and job satisfaction.
