Best breakfast club is in Stranraer

STRANRAER Academy Breakfast Club is officially the best in the UK.

The school scheme won the Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Award for Scotland and then went one step further by taking home the Overall Award for the UK, recognising it as the nation’s best secondary school breakfast club.

The organisers said Stranraer stood out for its welcoming atmosphere, community spirit and commitment to supporting pupils’ wellbeing.

The judges praised the club’s inclusive ethos and its role in creating a positive start to the school day for hundreds of young people. The breakfast club not only provides healthy meals but also offers a space for friendship, connection and calm before classes begin.

The school gets £1000 from Kellogg’s to help continue its outstanding work and expand opportunities for pupils.
