THE S1 Nurture group from Dumfries Academy headed up to Glasgow to visit the BBC Scotland Studio.

The trip was to get a better understanding surrounding how shows, radio and films were created by the BBC which could help them with their nurture film.

A school spokesperson said: “The BBC members of staff were brilliant with the pupils and let them have a go at reading the news with presenter Laura Maciver, as well as getting to visit the sound engineers and editing teams behind some of the big named shows that they have produced.

“The pupils were brilliant and engaged fully with the experience – as always they were a credit to the school.”
