GALLOWAY’S campsites won a hat trick of awards at this year’s Camping and Glamping awards.

The awards created by Campsites.co.uk aim to highlight some of the best camping, glamping and touring sites the UK has to offer.

Among this year’s winners was Newton Stewart’s Balloch O Dee site, which was named Best Campsite Winner for the Central Lowlands and Southern Uplands.

Also winning big was Barnharrow Holiday Pods, who were named runner up for Best Glamping Site in Scotland, recognised for its luxury, comfort and natural beauty guests can step straight out to scenic walks and award-winning cycle trails, with beaches a short distance away.

The Galloway Steading near Glenluce was also named a runner up in the same category.

Congratulating the sites, Martin Smith, the founder of Campsites.co.uk said: “This year’s standards feel higher than ever. Each of the winning sites stand out for the care they put into being consistently excellent.”
