SWIRLING land art has appeared on green spaces at the Crichton ahead of an event celebrating the connection between creativity and wellbeing next month. The land art installations were created by regional-based artist Jim Buchanan for the Healing Arts Scotland Dumfries and Galloway Day, which will be held at the Easterbrook Hall on Tuesday June 16. Its main event will be a conference that includes panel discussions, Q&As, keynote and spotlight speakers, alongside creative wellbeing activities connected to the three themes of arts, health and environment; innovation in arts and health; and arts and health across life stages. A spokesperson for Healing Arts Scotland said: “This collaborative regional gathering brings together artists, health professionals, community groups and the wider public. “Following the conference, there will be a special evening celebration event featuring a musical performance. “The day creates space for sharing practice, exploring innovation and highlighting how creative approaches can support health and wellbeing across Dumfries and Galloway.” Photo by 33 Air Solutions
