Army test sites

TEAMS from the military have been at various locations around the region this week carrying out tests for Covid-19.

The testing is available for key workers and members of their household, as well as those aged over 65. Meanwhile, testing for health, social care and council staff continues to be delivered by the NHS at their testing sites in Dumfries and Stranraer.

Mobile testing can only be accessed via a pre booked appointment through the Scottish Government website (https://self-referral.test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk/). Samples are sent to Glasgow and the results can take a few days to return.

Over the next week the army team will be at:

  • Friday May 15: Station Park Car Park, Moffat
  • Saturday and Sunday May 16/17: DG1 leisure centre, Dumfries
  • Monday May 18: Ashwood House, Stranraer
  • Tuesday May 19: Harthill Depot, Lockerbie
  • Wednesday May 20: Sanquhar Fun Pool
  • Thursday May 21: Castle Douglas, Market Street Car Park
  • Friday May 22: Market Place, Langholm
  • Saturday May 23 and 24: Dumfries, DG1 Leisure Centre
