Arise Queen Arria!

ARRIA Armstrong enjoyed her crowning moment last Saturday, as she was named this year’s Miss Lochmaben. The royal burgh’s church hall was the venue for the annual crowning coffee morning, where the community came together and hopefuls waited to see who would wear the sought after sashes and glittering crown and tiaras. And it was Lockerbie Academy pupil Arria who was picked from the nominees. She will be supported in her duties by attendants Aylish Stevenson and Maddison Smith, flowergirl Isabella Warner, pageboy Deacon Wallace, prince Freddie Thom, and princess Constance Whitney. The event was hailed a success by the Lochmaben Gala Committee, who were delighted with the turnout and to see the community come together.
