Annan go close in cup clash

ANNAN were unable to get their hands on the Chisholm Cup following a 29-23 defeat to Stewartry 1st XV at Greenlaw on Saturday. The National Division Four side claimed a narrow victory over the visitors from Violetbank and retained the trophy for another year. Annan tries came from Aitken Render, he dived across the line after a good passing move; Aaron Carmichael, who sprinted more than half the field before scoring; and Scott Norman, scoring his first try for the 1st XV.
