All the fun of the fair

PROVOST Tracey Little rang the bell to open the 2025 Rood Fair in Dumfries last Thursday night, She said: “The fair is an integral part of our town’s history, and I am delighted to be here to celebrate the people who make the fair, the place and the generations of showpeople who come here each year, to make the fair such a spectacular event in the town’s calendar.” The Provost was hosted by Raynor Codona, Alex James Colquhoun (jr vice president of the Showman’s Guild) and Richard Wilmot, chair of the Scottish Section of the Showman’s Guild.
