Actor's bust on show

Dumfries Museum’s wartime display includes this bust of Dumfriesshire actor John Laurie. He is best known for Private Frazer in Dad’s Army and has been captured by James G Jeffs, known as Tim, who was assistant curator of the museum in WWII. The exhibition explores stories and objects from several conflicts, from the Boer War through to WWII and Korea.
