A75 road works

ESSENTIAL resurfacing is planned on the A75 near Newton Stewart from this weekend. The work will start on Sunday and run until Tuesday, overnight between 7 pm and 6 am daily. It will require overnight closures in this location and a signed diversion will be in place. However, access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained. Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable. A spokesperson for Amey said: "This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location. "Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken."
