A75 improvement talks
MAJOR discussions about improvements to the A75 will take place in Crocketford next week. A round-table discussion on the future of the route has been organised by the South West Scotland Transport Alliance at the village hall on Friday March 20. It will focus on securing long-term investment in the A75 and the broader transport needs of the south west. Among those attending are representatives from Stena Line P&O Ferries, Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of Commerce, and hauliers, alongside MSPs and candidates from other political parties. Galloway and West Dumfries MSP Finlay Carson said: “For too long, our region has been at the back of the queue when it comes to infrastructure investment. This round-table is a welcome chance to bring key voices together, and I look forward to making the case strongly, once again, for the transformational improvements the A75 urgently requires.”
