IT was announced on Tuesday that The Jam drummer Rick Buckler had died at the age of 69 following a short illness. The mod punk group, consisting of Buckler, Paul Weller and Bruce Foxton had 18 consecutive UK top 40 singles from 1977 to their break-up at the end of 1982.
Back in December 2022, Rick was staying at the Corner House Hotel Annan on his way to Glasgow for a Q and A session and book signing. He kindly gave an interview to this newspaper as well as a signed copy of his new book ‘The Jam 1982’ to give away to a reader
