Summer meals success

ALDI shops across the region donated 12,000 meals to families in need throughout the summer holidays.

Stores in Dumfries, Annan, Castle Douglas and Newton Stewart aided local charities and foodbanks during the period of increased demand by redistributing surplus food through community giving platform Neighbourly.

Luke Emery, from Aldi UK, said: We are proud to continue supporting incredible causes across the country this summer, helping to provide fresh, wholesome food to those who need it most.

“School holidays can be a challenging time for many families, and this summer we’re continuing our efforts to provide support where we can through our partnership with Neighbourly.”
