Motorbiker killed in crash

A TEENAGE motorbiker was killed in a crash on the outskirts of Dumfries early this morning.
The 18-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the smash on the C11N between Kirkton and Auldgirth.
It happened at about 4.35am and only involved one vehicle, the Lexmoto LXR125 motorcycle.
Emergency services attended and the road was closed to allow for investigations. It has now reopened.
The victim's family has been made aware.
Commenting, Sergeant Lloyd Caven: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“We are asking anyone driving on this road prior to the crash who may have information that could assist with our investigation to get in touch.
“In particular, please check dash-cams and if you have footage that may help then make contact with officers.”
