Fire discovered after street disturbance

POLICE are seeking a gang of youths believed to be responsible for an arson attack in a Lockerbie park.

In the early hours of Sunday morning officers from Police Scotland were called to Park Place following a report of disorder involving a number of people.
When they arrived they were faced with a street disturbance, with a both male and female youths fleeing the scene.
A plastic litter bin was found on fire at the nearby park.
The fire was extinguished by the officers however it was very badly damaged as a result.
Constable Lee Barnfather at Lockerbie said: “We would be keen to hear from anyone who may be able to identify members of this group that appeared to be causing a disturbance in the Park Place area of the town in the early hours of Sunday.”
