Woman trapped after crash

A THREE-VEHICLE collision in the heart of Dumfries saw fire crews rescue a woman trapped in her car early this morning.

Emergency services rushed to Lochside Road after the crash at about 12.15 am involving a blue Renault Captur car being driven by a 41-year-old woman from Dumfries, a green Fiat 500 car being driven by a 53 year old woman from Dumfries and a silver Renault Megane car which was parked at the time.
As a result, the two female drivers and a male passenger in the Fiat car were all taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary by ambulance with various whiplash and other injuries.
