FREE PIC- Burlesque Big Burns Supper Festival launch, Dumfries, 24/01/2014:
Big Burns Supper Burlesque Show Celebrates the Bawdy Bard:
Haggis, neeps, tatties and titillation as festival-goers flock to show which highlights poet’s naughty side.
A special Burlesque Burns Supper launches Dumfries's Big Burns Supper Festival this weekend (Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January 2014) with male cabaret performer Edd Muir (left, correct) and aerial burlesque performer Empress Stah Power (correct) in the 1920s style mirrored tent The Famous Speigeltent.
The show, entitled "Le Haggis" has enthralled festival audiences in Dumfries as they tuck into haggis, neeps and tatties while a nearly naked Empress Stah Power swings on a hoop above their heads.
The show is put on in the spirit of Robert Burns who is sure to have enjoyed a bawdy burlesque performance.
With Stah and Edd is Justin Hyslop as Robbie Burns (right).
