A former junior member of the club, Martin will take the reins from his former junior coach and current senior coach Cammy Little, who will now be free to focus on coaching at junior and senior level, the school development programme and playing senior rugby.
A club spokesman said: “We would like to wish Martin all the very best in his new role at the club and for the season ahead.
“Thank you also to Cammy for his hard work as captain for the last three years, which included securing the long sought after promotion.”
