GREYHOUNDS: Dumfries dog shines with sprint victory

DUMFRIES dog Peter led from the first bend to win the 8.30 sprint race at Halcrow Stadium, Gretna on Friday night.

The three-year-old dog, owned and trained by Keith Geddes, took the honours at 2/1 ahead of Tears, a three-year-old bitch from Dexter Clark from Kirkbride.

Earlier, Zsa Zsa, a four-year-old bitch from Rab Hyslop of Hawick, secured a two lengths victory over the same distance finishing ahead of Startle, a two-year-old bitch from Willie Hyslop of Kilmarnock.
