Everything’s sound at busy village hall

A PROMINENT building in Boreland will receive an ‘over-hall’ shortly to help make it a more entertainment friendly venue.

Boreland Village Hall Committee have won funding to help solve the hall’s acoustic issues so they can host more events.

Committee member Kate Nutt said: “Boreland Village Hall committee is delighted to have received funding to allow the acoustics in the village hall to be improved.

“South West Environmental Action Trust and Annandale and Nithsdale Community Benefit Company have both awarded funding which will now allow absorbing panels to be installed to solve the acoustic issue.

“This will make the hall an even better facility for people to use and in which to enjoy the varied events the committee organises.”

The committee are delighted that the issue will be fixed before their comedy night on September 5 and are encouraging as many people as possible to buy tickets for the event, which are available from Anne Marie’s in Lockerbie or by calling 01576 610329.
