The women aged 30, 31 and 32 were arrested following a recent number of thefts, and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Town centre Community Constable PC Alistair Hope said: “We need the public to stay alert and vigilant at this time of year in order help prevent this type of crime happening in the first place.
“Our patrols will continue through throughout the festive season help deter thieves and if we all work together we can hopefully keep crime out of Christmas.”
