£14k iPhones theft from Carlisle store

TWO thieves made off with £14,000 worth of Apple products from a store in Carlisle in the early hours of this morning.

Cumbria Police are urging people to be on the lookout for discounted iPhones and iPads after the front window of the English street shop was smashed and numerous products on display were stolen at about 1.55 am.
Police say the two unidentified robbers left the scene, and officers are appealing for information.
Detective Sergeant Matthew Belshaw said: “Officers and detectives are working hard to try and trace the offenders and many lines of enquiry are being pursued.
“We want the local community to help us track the offenders and come forward with any information that can help our investigation.”
He added: “In particular we would like to ask any people who are being offered apple goods such as iPhones and iPads at a discount price to report this to Cumbria Police as it could lead us to the offenders.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
